i have problems breastfeeding due to the cracks and soreness. Do you think its becaouse of that my boobs are big causing my son to not latch on properly? I have tried all the techniques , he seems to be latching on ok to me, but its still so painful. Ive tried creams , i've stopped breastfeeding for a week to let the cracks heal , but stil nothing. I really need help .

After you nurse, express a little breastmilk and rub it into your nipple/areola. Then let it air dry. Make sure you're changing your nursing pads frequently because wetness/dampness will lead to skin breakdown. You can keep nursing, and likely it is painful because of the cracks, but you can also see a lactation consultant to check and make sure your latch is not contributing to their ongoing soreness. I had cracks and blisters on mine with my first, and went on to nurse for 14m with him. I feel your pain! Good luck!

talk to your doc, they can give you a script for stronger nipple cream. Lanolin did nothing for me, and after severe mastitis and bleeding breasts, I needed a little more help, and it worked much better.

Ok, this stuff is AMAZING! I truly HIGHLY recommend it, and have used many brands. This is the only one that gave relief, along with the shields you should see improvement quickly.

Here is the link. These worked really well for me. Along with lansinoh lanolin. All the other stuff was to hard to smear and would cause pain while doing it. This stuff goes on nice and smooth. I will find you the link for that also, but here are the shields.

Cabbage leaves are suppose to help dry up your milk. Not such a good idea.
There are these medela things you can put on your nipples to help them out. It is like a shield you put on your nipples, and it helps the air get to them and make it so all fabric is off the nipples. It will also catch your milk so you don't leak all over the place. i will try to find the link for you.

Try cabbage leaves for sore cracked nipples , Just get a leave and put it in your bra during the day and that should ease the soreness

I had the same. Mine were awful I haven't breast fed in over a year and have scarring. Maybe ask nurses or something to talk to someone to help. I tried everything too. I ended up switching to bottle. Had other problems also.
