hi im 22 years old i started my period when i was 11- i was wondering if someone can help, i have been on my period now for 18 days, i normally have regular periods every 28day lasting for 4-5 days, now i am on my period i have been on for 18 days and still going, its a very light period, no pains no cramps nothing to say im on my period apart from the bleeding, its light, no clots, and every other day will be a brownish colour, im really worried about it as i have never had it before

me too, just really dont no what it could be :/ never experienced anything like it, quite scary too, but doctors where i am are rubbish, always say your fine when you no your not lol

thanks for your reply shannon, i plan to get an appointment at the doctors on monday when they open, just worrying as i have never had it before, getting tummy cramps now a dizzy spells and very bad headaches, doctors on monday is a must :-) fingers crossed everything is ok and its nothing bad x

This happened to me once I bled for a month straight finally the light bleeding turned into the normal heavy flow and it hasn't happened again since and this was 2 years ago. I did make an appointment but by the time they got me in everything was cleared up and done. The nurse practitioner still had me take a blood test to see if I miss carried but it came back negative.



I would still try to get in to see a doctor or nurse practitioner if it will get you in faster, I told them I didn't care who I saw just get me in.

i have taken a pregnancy test and it came up negative, im still bleeding but have slight cramps,

Yeah, so did I until I had been bleeding 'weird' for over a week and my NP told me to take a test and it was positive right away... I was miscarrying.



Bleeding for 18 days is definitely a reason to go to the doctor...

no i dont use birth control, how can be pregnant when im bleeding, i have been trying 2 half years with my husband for a baby but never had any luck, so i ruled out pregnancy straight away x

Have you just started a new form of birth control or is there any chance you could be pregnant (if you're having sex... the answer is yes)? Call the doctor to get checked out.
