Dont bathe him everyday, it drys out skin! and try Aveeno Bath soap, My son had really dry skin and he is allergic to all the Johnson and Johnson soaps and creams!

I don't think I'd use baby oils or lotions. I'd bathe him with a gentle soap such as phisoderm or other such infant/sensitive skin soap. Try to keep your house at a comfortable temperature and not too humid. Don't over dress your infant. Let his little tootsies be freeee!!

If you have brought this up to your doctor, and he feels as if it is ok, then for me as a mom i would get a second opinion. If it still is ok try using baby powder with corn starch and at night put lotion on his feet and cover with socks.........works for me

Babies do go through some hair loss sometimes at this age, so that is pretty normal. My daughter had hot feet and would always pull any socks that I put on her off. I finally caught on that she is just natured differently than me (my feet always freeze) and stopped putting socks on her feet. As much as possible, I would just keep his hot little feet bare. The cheese smell is just how his sweat smells because so much of his diet is from dairy.

I think the sweaty hands/feet come from his dad..he sweats easily.as far as the dry skin i wondered if it was due to this miami heat

my son lost alot of his hair around that age too, he never had rough skin, bc i always lotioned him up but his hands and feet are always sweaty, still to this day. hes 14months old. sometimes his feet will smell .. i say they smell like fritos haha but really its just sweaty. like after you wear shoes with no socks. except he just is barefoot. idk how his feet get so sweaty. but i think its normal

Don't stress too much all babies lose some of their hair about that age ...as they start wriggling around a little more in bed and rubbing their heads on the bed.

The hands and feet thing, have you noticed if he sucks them too? the smell could be a combo of sweat plus off baby milk if he sucks them or drools on them.Just try wipping with baby wipes inbetween fingers and toes with babay wipes. to freshen him up.

Try a gentle baby massage with a nice baby moisturiser to make him all soft and cuddly again.

If none of this helps then for sure get him checked at the DR's.

They usually have bald spots where their heads lay when their sleeping or in the car seat. My lil girl has a huge bald spot on the back of her head and hair all around it. lol Babies go through growth spurts around that age and hormones cause all those things. Follow your instincts though, if it makes you feel better take him to the ped.
