To help avoid the rash and the dry skin try using some aloe, also you may want to have your sister go into her Dr. and have the rash looked at, as it possible that it could be something worse.

I cannot say with certainity that this is the same situation. However, when I was pregnant (and I believe it was roughly around 9/10 mos) I developed a rash all over my stomach. No matter what I did, I could not get relief from it.  After having blood work done (which sounds like your sister should request) they were able to confirm a condition called Cholestasis.  There is no "cure" or relief for this condition, it will go away after she delivers her baby. The  reason why anti itch creams do not work is because it has to do with bile acids building up in the blood stream.  The only "relief"  I found was a cold wash cloth.  Most commonly  the itching is on hands and feet, however mine was all over my stomach and it was unbearable.

Good luck and have your sister request some blood work from her doctor to rule this condition out.

Hey....i had that rash too, and there isn't really anything you can do to help it. Just tell her not to scratch (i know it's hard) and tell her to keep putting lotion and cortizone creams on it.....try an oatmeal bath sometimes worked too. I also tried baby oil, vasaline, basically anything to keep my skin from getting dry. Good luck, hope this will help a little
