My son does not want to start school !

Please help I am disabled and my 5yr old is very smart,He quit preschool because he was worried about me being home alone & if I fell noone was here for me. So when he was in school he could not give any attention it didnt matter what the teachers or myself or husband did he just wanted out. I was paying to always pick him up. Now he is starting school and I have told him if he don't go that Mommy could be put in jail. He really wants to be home. I already run a buisness from home so it would be hard to home school him. So does anyone have any Ideas to help me try and make this a time of happiness.

Marina my son never leaves my side he is always cking on me even at night or if I go to the store and he is home with Dad he calls atleast 10 times.

Are you interested in getting a service dog? That way he sees you are not alone, and have a companion, and you have help. If you get the service dog before he goes to school, this may ease his anxiety of you being alone.

Have him meet his teacher before hand if you haven't already.
Keep assuring him you will be fine. You are going to have to make him go to school and that's going to be rough.

Tell the teacher of his issues. Maybe they will let him call you. I don't know what else to say.....
