Keep taking him even if he begs, kicks, screams, and throws a super fit. See if the teacher will meet you  at the door and take him. Tell him you love him and that you will be back later. I have just went through this and it took 4-5 months (going 1 day a week) to finally get him excited about going to school. The teachers always told me he calmed down after 10-15 mins and was having a great time. Hang in there don't give in. Walk away and know he will be ok. I have nothiced it is always the boys in class that are crying.

I've been a preschool teacher for over 10 years now.  It's perfectly normal for them to cry when first starting.  My best advice would be to just give it time.  Some of my parents have picked their children up early until their child has become used to school.  Other moms might bring a special toy for their child.  At my preschool, we have a 4 wk adjustment period but I have never had to drop a child from my class for not adjusting well.

Just have a morning routine, give your child a kiss before you leave and then go.  It's very hard to leave them when they're crying, but they will adjust, I promise! Just this year in school, I had 2 girls that cried almost non-stop for about 2 weeks.  It was hard on me, them and their parents.  You would never know it now!  They come in now giving me hugs and waving to mom out the window as they leave.  They are 2 very happy little girls at school now!!

Good Luck!  It will get better!
