Hey Maria, have you tried switching detergents? I always use All free and clear. Stay away from anything that has perfume in it. I always use regular vaseline and put it on right after my son gets out of the shower. You might try putting it on your son while being bathed. Ive heard some people try that and swear by it. Good luck!

Are you using the Cetaphil cream in the big container or the pump? The pump won't work; it's a lotion & is too light. The cream works gret. A better alternative for REALLY dry skin is Aquaphor right after bath time. I've never tried oilateum bath soap; we use Aveeno skbaby soothing relief bath wash & the aveeno bath soak goes in the bath water. It's worked very well.

I use petroleum jelly instead of lotion.  It helped a lot.  My son's 4 and we still use it.  We get the kind in the squeeze tube rather than the jar to dip in.  Try it.  It won't hurt even if it doesn't help.

Aquaphor by Eucerin. It's available in any drug store or Walmart, Kmart and Target. It works wonders for sensitive skin. I put it on my DD's cheeks every day of winter when she was a baby.
