My step daughter cries all the tme she is 1 and very smart. Example of smart is sh can read at a grade 8 level. Anyway She will cry for anything. You can't tell her anything without her crying. She is a great kid but too emotional. They wash dishes and clean their room and do there own laundry. They've been doing itfor years. She wasshes dishes horriable and I will tell her to do it again and she'll cry. She will vacuum her room and they'll be tons ofjunk on the floor and I will tell her to do it again and she will cry. I don't understand her why she can be smart buyt still sop lazy. I'll ask her why she is crying and she will say she doesn't know. Do I just ley her cry? I tell her I am only tryna teach her do things her best and I think she thinks I am beibng hard on her. Sh doesn't have to do anything when she is at her real moms. She comes ome nd resposiblites jus like my real daughter nd they take turns.

The bith mother is still in her life. I take her there every second week and she goes there on the thursaday and camps. They see alot of each other. I guess it could be hormones and I should understand that since I am a girl.

11 year old girls are crazy hormonal creatures.

I am going to be honest with you I think it is hormones 11-13 year old girls are very emotional and can cry at the drop of a hat. If she says she doesn't know why tell her that you understand that sometimes the strangest things can upset us and not to worry about it and move on

What happened to her birth mother? Did she abandon her? What did the therapist say after a few sessions?

opps 11...bettter read over next time. We've takn counseling and family groups I have taken my own counseling. I've been her step mom for 5 years now. She never cries when her dad is home. I am thinking when she cries cause she is so emotional to leave her and not ask why cause she never knows why

What does her father say? How long have you been her stepmother? Perhaps family counseling is in order?
