Wandering if I could be preggers!!!! I just turned 39 last month. I'm still have normal visits from auntie flo, but I have gained bout 15 lbs. the other night i was joking around bout my boobs being sore and squeezed a boob and actually had a discharge or something. I'm very moody, pee all the time, get twitches in my sides alot, and groin pain kinda like pulling. yesterday not thinking bout it al all while shopping at walmart i got light headed twice. My youngest child is almost 11 and I had my tubes tied when he was born. The doctor refused to cut and burn them like I wanted.My older kids really think i am pregnant, I'm more scared it's something else. During an exam last year my doctor told me I was in beginning stage of menopause. I just don't know.

I was at the dr today and also have clamps on my tubes, i asked him the same question is it possible and hos response yes it, the longer they r tied the chance is greater but unheard of. I have a friend that has hers tied for 3yrs and just gave birth 5mths ago, so ne thing is possible.

My tubes were tied with my last and my doctor told me flat out its not 100%. Good luck! If you are...I hope its a blessing. I tried for 7 years after my son and didn't think I'd ever get preggers again...then I turned 40. My biggest blessing is my youngest! Love her so much...she is going to keep me young everyone says ;).

You can still become pregnant after a tubal ligation. I have heard of cases where it has happened.

tubes being tied or whatever form they used are only temporary fix for some women. They don't tell you that almost 40% of woman that are fixed end up pregnant again within 10yrs and almost 25% of those women have multiples. I am fixed. Yep. I am also fully aware that I can end up pregnant again in the future. lol I tease my husband every year on April 1st about being pregnant. Anyways, yes there is always a chance you could be pregnant though you have a better than 60% chance that you aren't. :) Does that help?

thank you to everyone.i know its rare to be pregnant with my tubes tied. i am going to make a drs.appt.because i need to know whats wrong with me either way.the nausea hasnt stopped.the being tired all the time is driving me crazy.my tubes have been tied(not burnt or cut) like i said for 8 years and i have never felt like this.so if i am pregnant then i am going to be happy about it.if not then i need to know whats wrong with me.so again thank you everyone.you have been very helpful

especially if it is an ectopic preganacy (where the preganacy has occurred in the tube not yr uterus) as this can be a life-threatening situation. Either I think it needs investigating.

Definately talk to your doctor. It is possible to fall pregnant even with your tubes tied I know someone that did. Also it's a small chance. But it could also mean a different problem

Anastasia: The chances of getting pregnant after a tubal ligation actually rise the longer it's been since the operation. While it's VERY VERY rare, it IS possible (it happened to my mother).

Yes, although rare, women DO get pregnant after having their tubes tied.
Take a pregnancy test, then go to your doctor (regardless of negative/positive)

I had the same operation when I were 23, and I know the changes to get pregnant is 0.

I went the route of invetro to get pregnant at the age of 30.



A simple example: it’s like a garden hose, ones you bent it tight and gripped a tie rap around the bent the water will not push through.



Your doctor or clinical doctor should have explained this to you. You will have your normal ovulation monthly but no eggs will follow their prehistoric route. They are tied up never ever to see the route of pregnancy. Don’t worry they will not sit their doing nothing; they will disintegrate like the normal routine like the rest of your body cells does every day. And 1 plus point, your hormones will stay the same. The mood swings, monthly pain stays.

I have twins of almost 3 years and I’m still not pregnant after their birth. Plus points for semi sterilization operations.



But if you do have side effects go and see your Gynecologist, schedule for a sonar. I do not know if you have copper clamps that bind your tubes. If this may be the case, you may have an infection or a reaction to it, lots of people have a side effect to copper.



But I know they only place in stain-less steel into your body. It will be good for you and your health to check this out with an appointment at your Gynecologist.

There are a number of reproductive problems that can cause really heavy bleeding and fatigue with your period: Fibroids and Endometriosis being the most common. It is possible that your tubal ligation was botched, allowing you to get pregnant, but that is a pretty rare occurance. Best thing to do is visit your doctor and ask if you could be pregnant even though your tubes are tied! Good luck!
