A similar question has been asked before but with first names beginning with "M". I am not expecting baby number two yet but I know the name game is hard and wanted to get a head start on it. My husband and I are looking for names that begin with "C". Our daughters name is Carissa. Any suggestions or ideas would be great for boy or girl. We are trying to stay with uncommon names.

I have three  little ones with C names: Connor, Cason, and Callie. Some C names we considered were Cooper, Chloe, and Chance.

Our daughter is 'Chloe' and everyone loves it!

For a boy, the name 'Kimber' has always been a favorite of mine - starts with a 'K' but still has the right sound...

Also like the names Caroline for a girl and Carter for a boy...

Without sounding biased. lol. What about "Carolyn"for a girl .It is alot less common than "Caroline" i have found, and the fact your name is "Caryn" it is your name adding "ol" in the middle. just a suggestion.

hey my sisters name is Cath

Carl is an option for a boy

or you could just make one up that you like the sound of with your other childs name and your last name.  Catherine and Alison always had a nice ring to it when we were kids

Hi there,

My son's name is Carter, my husband picked and I wanted him to be called Cohen.  We don't really have the issue with presidents over here in New Zealand, however, every one thinks we have named him after a NZ rugby player, Daniel Carter.  My husband just liked it.  It is getting more common here.

For a girl I like the name  Caoimhe, pronounced Keeva meaning gentle, beautiful, precious, or Caera, pronounced Keera meaning friend.  These are irish names.

I have a sister Courtney and a brother Caleb.

Good luck.

When I was young I went to school with a boy whose brother's name was Cordell. I have not yet heard of another person with that name.

That is one of my favorite names for a boy.  My husband hates it so I'll never get to use it, I also like Cordelia for a girl.  I have an uncle Corwyn, that's different, I would think.  Cynthia, but it seems you are looking for the hard cee sound?

Other ones, Chaz, Crispin...

[deleted account]

My husband's name is Conrad. It's uncommon.

My friend's daughters name is Cianna

Hope that helps :)

Cooper is my sons name which is starting to be more popular in australia. Charlotte is nice for a girl but a little common now. Cleo for a girl or caleb for a boy are another 2 off the top of my head.

My older daughter is named Carmen; not common for a blonde haired blue eyed little girl! Also I have a cousin who went by Cort, a shortened form of his middle name, Cortland.

I have only met a few people with my name.  It means "girl" in Irish, which I have always liked.  I especially liked being able to find my name in the dictionary when i was a kid.  Good luck with your search!

I knew I was having a girl so most of the names I have are girls or unisex.  My daughter's name is Courtney... it's not the most original but there aren't a lot of Courtney's these days.  I also liked Casey, Cameron and Charlotte.   I like Chloe but it is very popular nowadays. I know someone who had a girl named Ciara.  Good luck!

I wish I would have asked this question before we named our son!!! These suggestions were all so great!

So - my husbands name is Clifford Joseph and we call him CJ.

That said... we wanted a girl and her name was going to be Cali Jay (C.J.)

But like I said - we had another boy. So I was searching for C names just like you.

I wanted Carter and my husband has ALWAYS wanted......

are you ready........

Canyon Joseph

That is a pretty uncommon name not too bad though. My husband would so not win that agrument. LOL I love the name Carter but my husband says it sounds to much like a President. I like the name Chase but he says that sounds like  dog. I like the name Cali that is pretty. Sorry you did not have a girl.
