Natural asthma remedies???

Hi, my husband had first cold, then later started having cold and cough and finally landed up to asthma. Started taking inhaler, the attack use to be very severe and ne time day, nite,







travelling... Life had become miserable. Then finally fortune while travelling one person gave us Adulsa powder it's a Ayurvedic herbs, touch wood from that day no asthma attack, normal cold due to weather change which go quickly. Thanks to ADULSA it have changed my lif.

It is for asthma by allergies (all kind incl cats and dogs, dust, etc ) allergies
Pollen
And above all no side effect except should not be taken by women who is pregnant or trying to conceive

Adulsa syrup in market does not work fast as it have mixed with many other thing.
Take purely this powder Once or twice a day early morning and nite depend how bad the condition is. 1/4tsp with warm water or honey empty stomach morning works very well.

Both my daughter and I have allergies to mold, the apartment when I gave birth to her had a bad problem which we did not discover until we vacated. I could not breathe (even with prescription allergy nasal spray) through my nose until we left. There are no carpets in our home and I have checked throughout the basement and the remainder of the house, so far I have not found any. Plus my allergies have not been acting up.

But YES that is a huge factor in asthma.

Bedding is cleaned once a week and I vacuum with a hepa filter. Vents for the heating system are changed once a year and cleaned during the winter just about monthly.

She is allergic to both cats and dogs, so there are no pets in the home. Also she takes allergy medication daily.

Her preventative was changed already, previously she was on Pulmicort. Also she has had to take liquid steroids during severe drawn out episodes.

Through personal experiences I would do with everything mentioned, but also you might have to have your house checked for mold. It can get into the drywall and never really show up on the walls- and mold is horrible for asthma and allergies. I know it's an expensive one, but it has made a world of difference for me, and my whole family

My 6 year old was diagnosed with allergy induced asthma when he was about 2.5.



I know you asked for natural asthma remedies, but first, I would talk to your Dr about her controller meds... if she's using her rescue inhaler frequently for uncontrolled attacks, it means the controller isn't working. Over the years, we've had to tweak and change controllers several times as my son developed tollerances, his body changes, and he's exposed to new allergines.



As far as natural "remedies", here are some of the tips our doc has given us (these are mostly allergy asthma tips...



1. Bed... I vacuum his matress/pillows once a week, and change his sheets (with HOT water) at least once a week. You can buy pillow and mattress covers that are suppose to reduce dust mites and such, but I just prefer to run the vacuum over it.



2. Vacuum VERY frequently... with a vacuum with a HEPA filter.



3. HEPA furnace filters... and have your ducts cleaned before the winter season each year.



4. Cut out cleaners with fragrances... including laundry soap and fabric softners.



My son also responds well to Eucalyptus treatments, but I would talk to your doc first.

Thank you everyone for your responses.

Both my children have been on a no dairy diet for the past three years as they previously had one ear infection after another and I found the 'old wives tale' stating dairy can be a large factor. Since I switched them to soy milk my sons asthma has disappeared and my daughters is not quite as bad. (Also, ear infection free). Nasty stuff that dairy!

There is absolutely no smoking at my house. Their father (also an asthmatic) smokes in his house during the time they are not there. While I have constantly made this an issue with him, he still fails to see the point behind it. But at least they are only there every other weekend.

Dust is not really an issue in the house but I will take up the suggestion for changing cleaners.

I will have her sit in the bathroom while I am taking a shower and also will give her an extra one during the day if she is having an attack.

I will have to look up ti chi as I am not familiar with this. She does get a good amount of exercise during the day as she is always running around out back playing with friends and her little brother.

Sanda,

You should think about getting rid of all your household cleaners if they contain any type of harmful chemicals, like bleach, ammonia ect.  These things irritate your respiratory system and for people like your daughter who have problems already it makes them worse.  I can pretty much garauntee that when you switch everything over in your home to naturally based cleaners and personal care products you will see a huge difference in her condition.  I personally know of several families that did exactly what I am suggesting in with in only a month or two they saw their conditions improve dramatically.  If you would like to know of a really great store to get these types of products that are more effective than the store bought name brands and less expensive.  They don't contain any harmful chemicals or harsh abrasives and are much safer and healthier for your entire family.   I'll be happy to that with you.  You can email me rebeccamalcolm@live.com

Hi,I have a 2 year old with asthma and she is on a dairy free diet is not allowed near sand pits and has all different kinds of puffers to help her out.We only recently started the dairy free diet and it is working extremly well.You see all dary does to asthmatics is cause mucus in their airway which causes wheezing.It's not an easy transition but it has worked for my daughter.

i have bad asthma and i find having a shower with plenty of steam and a cup of camomile tea usually help to relax me,also breathing excersises have helped to control an attack as i have got older,try ti chi it is very good for breathing and relaxing the body and excersise is better for asthmatics than most people think.

I am a chronic (old way they use to describe it) asthmatic, my three sisters are asthmatic and so is my son (crossing my fingers my new baby doesn't).  Mum used to turn on the hot water in the shower and stick us in the steamed room. breathing deeply.  Ask your specialist, they should be able to recommend natural treatments etc. 

Most importantly to help prevent the asthma make sure the house is completely free of dust and making sure there are no smokers in or around the house (the smell lingers on clothes and breath) and not using any strong smelling cleaners. 

I do know that as we got older, our asthma became more controllable.  I wish you the best of luck.
