Need Advice For My 4 Month Old

ok so his doc said he is fine...just more than likely rejecting the taste of the new formula...but she said I can start tryin to feed him solids in which case if he takes to the solids I can probably put him back on the advance formula cause she said the solid foods should help to reduce the gas issue "which was the reason I switched in the first place" ...so hopefully he takes to the solid foods

Hun my daughters 5 and I still ask lol. She's my one and only and until someone shows me an instruction manual on kids I'm gonna ask. Lol

oh good...im not the only one then....lol ...everytime something is off with him i want to take him to the doc...but my hubby always tells me its nothing....which most of the time it is nothing

Don't feel bad, I thought my daughter swallowed a decorative rock, took her in to the er for an x ray and found nothing. Lol

Good, that's all you can do. Better to be the mom asking tons of questions then the mom who ignores it and let's it go.

well he has been on the sensitive for a few weeks now and he JUST started the arching and kicking while feeding a few days ago and I try to burp him often but when I take the bottle away before he is ready he FREAKS out and wont burp cause he is crying to hard, but when i do get him to burp its usually a really good loud belch :) lol and if he seems real gassy i do the legs to the chest thing as well as give him gripe water which seems to help him alot, he never throws up and never has any problems going poop so I'm lost on what it could be...no rashes on him or anything and like i said when he is not eating he is fine in a very good mood all the time... but he now has an appt with his doc tomorrow morn at 10 so hopefully she will be able to figure it out :(

My daughter was on the advance and it made her sick. The infamil with lipil was great for her and I found she was gassy and fussy because I needed to burp her more. The knees to chest helped her pass gas easier and the increase in time of burping reduced the gas. Changing formula can be like going from whole milk to 2% they notice it tastes different. Make sure when you take him in your ready to feed him so the dr can see what you see. Could just be he knows you changed his diet and his attitude is like um no mommy, I don't like that kind.

hmmm ... i wonder if its the formula...he was on Similac Advance from birth til just a few weeks ago I switched him to the Similac Sensitive cause he has ALWAYS been extremely gassy and the sensitive seems to be helping alot with the gas but now im wondering if it is the formula thats making him do this.....I'll call his doc and see what she thinks...

When in doubt have it checked out. At 4 months it could be an allergy to the formula, or could be digestive issues. It neves hurts to ask your dr. It does however hurt if you don't and something is wrong and you don't get it treated til its too late.
