My daughter is seven months old and refuses to take any kind of bottle we have been trying for two months. we have tried five different kinds of bottles and even sippy cups and can not get her drink out of any of them but maybe half an ounce. She will literly throw her self back until I give her myself! I'm at my wits end I can not go anywhere alone and all my shopping is done in the next town which is half an hour away. does anyone have any suggestion that may help? Melissa

I had the same issue with my little guy and it took him about 2 months at daycare before he would take the bottle (we had been trying at home for a couple of months before he went to daycare as well.) They finally figured out at daycare that he wanted to hold the bottle himself as he was sitting in a bouncy seat, and then he would drink, finally! Once he started actually taking an ounce at a time we gradually increased that and he will now take 4-5 ounces at a time. So...see if she'll hold the bottle by herself.

We use Dr. Browns bottles. We also bought a bunch of bottles the first time around (yes, this happened two times for us...our 3 year old daughter wouldn't take a bottle either!) and I said I wouldn't do that again! Even though there are a bunch of parts to wash, we think the Dr. Brown's bottles are the best.

Have you tried the Soothie bottles? the nipple is supposed to be more like a breast... Also, Playtex makes a bottle with a nipple that is supposed to be easier to give a breastfed baby... hope this helps
