Need Help With Stretch Marks!!

The wheat germ oil is full of nutrients that your body needs for elasticity, stronger skin and moisture. It can help prevent and heal stretch marks. The itching will got away when the skin has what it needs to enable it to stretch. You should be able to get it at a health food store in the refridgerated oils section in supplements.

I drank tons of water, tried every lotion, cream, oil out there - the itching didn't stop. One day I was in the shower and I had some excess cream rinse on my hands and I rubbed it on my belly - it worked. They don't make it now - sucks, but it was a pure chance discovery. It was for dry hair, it had a mint extract of some sort.....

My stretch marks used to itch when my clothes rubbed on them, maybe try wearing loose tops, dresses and sarongs??

i used bio-oil through my pregnancy and ive only got 2 little stretch marks by my belly piercing :) i recommend bio-oil to any1 thats pergnant!

I used to rub vitamin E oil on my stomach with both my son's pregnancies...no stretch marks! During my 2nd pregnancy, I also used to take a tablespoonful every day - it doesn't taste so good but I didn't tear during his birth as I had done with my first son. I highly recommend vitamin E oil.

I had this too! I found it was because i was having a reaction to the bio-oil i was using. I switched to coco butter but after a few weeks i had the same thing. In the end i just put sorbolene cream on my stomach. This kept it moist and soft and i hardly got any stretch marks.

I used Coco Butter lotion twice a day during my pregnancy. I still have them. my daughter is 16 mos old. I am tryimg to figure out how to get rid of them

I'm not worried about the stretch marks so much just the fact that they are itching so bad.. i can't stand the constant itching..

The first thing to remember is not to itch your belly. I did that, and I most certainly regret it now, 16 years later. The other thing is to ask your gynecologist what the best cream or lotion to use to moisturize your abdomen where the most stretching is done and prevent or stop the itching. I found the Palms Cocoa Butter brand helped a lot, but being pregnant, I also found my sniffers (sense of smell) ultra-sensitive to fragrances. So, if you find yourself with heightened sense of smell, you may have to choose products with no fragrance.

My doctor gave me a prescription for PUP cream.It is used for all kinds of itching during pregnancy.My feet were particularly itchy and my belly too.I have very sensitive skin so I used grapeseed oil [you can buy it next to cooking oil at walmart]on my belly ,breasts,thighs and hips after every shower during my pregnancy and I only got two little stretch marks.I was also kept my showers warm not hot so my skin didnt dry out as much.Its is odorless and doesn't contain any petroleum to effect your baby either. If there are fleas there you are most likely a great lunch for them so ask your doctor for advice on that since they can carry diseases through transferal of blood.Then google some natural pesticides. I would try the oil anyway.At least if it is fleas they will either avoid the greasy belly or get stuck to it and die.You may be attracting them with the perfumes in the baby lotion ...its worth a shot...good luck Stephanie.

I am 39 weeks now and i have the same problem... Im applying cocoa butter lotion, cream and tummy butter from the day i knew i was pregnant but nothing seems to work... it appear suddenly and rapidly during my 36th week.

Stop itching :) There is creams out there that are for specifical for stretch marks, there also Udderly smooth that I found helps. Drinking lots of water also helps the skin stretch without causing stretch marks, Hope that helps a little.

I have been using this lotion since i found out i was pregnant.. it's just normal Johnsons Baby Lotion (pink bottle).. Never done it before.. we did have a small break out of fleas in the house.. could that have caused it??

You might be having some kind of reaction from the lotion. I used cocoa butter but if the lotion is affecting you, that might too. hmm...ask your OB for some suggestions. You could probably use cortisone for the itching.
