Fresh fruit platter with dip(mix cream cheese with cool whip) its really good. Fresh vegetable platter with dip.( ranch is always a good one) finger foods like chicken fingers, french fries, mini bagels, munchkins(doughnut holes from Dunkin Donuts) if no one is allergic to peanut butter, you could make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cut them in fours. You could even google first birthday party menus and see what you come up with. hope this helps. enjoy:)

Butter your bread and then put sprinkles on it.... YUMMO!!! kids love it!!!

And you can also use your cookie cutters to make them into cool shapes, stars, love hearts etc etc!!!

It is usually easier to just put your bread face down on a plate of sprinkles...

HOt dogs or if you want to go healthy do sandwiches and cut them into 4 and make a tray. Than do veggies and fruit. than make a punch or get bottles of water?simple stuff! happy 1st birthday.

Is this party for a lot of adults or kids or a mix?? The pasta and potato salad ideas are good ones, as are all the rest, I would say if most are adults have more grown up food if most are kids then what they like better of if a mix of ages, go for what pleases everyone!! You could make lots of different sandwhiches cut in fours,: p,b and j for the kids, or cheese or tuna, and then more interesting ones for the adults but it is easier because you make all sandwiiches, then add chips and salads, and finger foods that everyone likes, as mentioned..keep it just like a picnic and simple!! everyone will enjoy it!
