The best thing my husband and I did when we found out we were expecting was to buy a book on baby names. It had like 1,000 boys and girls names. It gave ideas for popular names, name combinations, meanings, etc... We were used to having girls in the family (nieces) so when we found out we were having boys this book was a lifesaver.

My cousin named her daughter Annabelle (truly Southern), so then you could still call her Belle.

If you really like Belle, stick with it...no names that start with a vowel for middle (initials would be BAD, BED, BID, BOD, BUD) and pick something with 3 syllables to "flow" with Belle...Belle Madison, Belle Josephine, Belle Mackenzie, Belle Catherine, Belle Michaela, Belle Sophia, Belle Tallulah. I understand what you mean, though...Belle kind of makes a better middle than first, but like someone else said, you can always call her by her middle name.

You could just not give her a middle name. I have a cousin that doesn't have one. I also have one that just has an initial rather than a whole name. I say go with the name you love. It is better than settling on one that you sort of like and then wishing you had named her something else. BTW, I am a southern girl too, I joked that I was going to name my daughter Rebel to irk my in-laws (they are from Chicago). While I do like it and thought it was kind of pretty, I didn't want to maybe influence any personalities with her name, LOL.

isabella is so popular in our area, my mom insisted that i named my daughter isabella rose. we didn't have a name until after she was born. while i was in labor, dad ran across a little girl in the waiting room named elli, her mom was angie. since i'm angela, we named our girl ella (close to isabella or bella) gracelyn. the only other name i thought about was lena. i really liked it, but ella really seemed right. good luck!

I loved my daughters name from the moment I saw it Trysta prounouced  like Trista.  And there aren't to many girls with that name out there.

I REALLY like Amara or Sofia, I am expecting a boy myself and had my baby been a girl it would have been one of those.

when coming up with my names i did some research. like my oldest sons name is aleksandr. if you look up the variations saunders is one. which happened to be my maiden name and his middle is james. his fathers middle name. my youngests is david robert fredrick. uncle dave died quite suddenly when i was pregnant with my youngest. my uncle bob and cousin bobby both no longer with us meant the world to me and fredrick is my hubby's grandpap's name, he is also no longer with us. 2 middle names may be a bit much but i wouldn't change it for the world.

Adrienne Belle or maybe Evelyn, Amelia. Scarlette can be southern in nature. Hopefully these help.

I love the name Lilly.  That'd go right along with Daisy. (btw I LOVE that name, it's my grandma's first name) :)  My suggestion is pick a unique first name & use a family name for the middle name.  My daughter is Madison Sofia.  She's the only Madison in our family, and Sofia is my great grandmother's name.  I also like Reagan and Lennon.  What about Sophie Belle?  I think that's pretty cute.   Hope I helped a little bit. :)

Try looking for what you want her name to mean. I found it made it easier to choose my boys names. Remember everytime you say their names you are saying the meanings into their lives as well.

what about lindsey belle. or isabelle marie and just call her belle.
