I am a single mom looking to supplement my income with a part time job. However I would like to do this from home so that I may have time with my son, does anyone have any suggestion on how?

Some people have excellent success with etsy. Find something you're good at and with a demand, and run with it. There is cost to start it though, as with most things. A lot of the work at home jobs are scams. You can babysit for one family in most states legally without being licensed, but if you do so, make sure you have immunization status on file (for your own knowledge if nothing else) and a good working contract stating minimum hours, if you get paid when they call in, if they have to pay when you call in, who supplies what, late fees... Never go without a contract, even with a friend, as it can ruin a friendship not to have it written down.

Have you looked into the companies like Mary Kay, Avon, Arbonne, Lia Sophia, etc? I know people who make a ton of money with those, and you get to set your own hours!
I buy and sell things on Ebay. I scour garage sales, thrift shops, resale stores, etc, for good finds, and resell them on Ebay for a profit. Sometimes I can make a lot, sometimes I only make an extra dollar per item, so it's not the most foolproof way of making money though, but I enjoy it.
