I totally agree with these ladies that you only give your baby milk (that is, breastmilk or formula) until 6 months of age. That is all your baby needs. Do not fall into the trap of adding cereal to the bottle 'to make them sleep through'.

ONLY BREASTMILK!~ formula if breastfeeding is impossible. pediatricians used to say not to introduce any new foods (besides breast milk or formula) until 6-9 months. some still say that. others have said 4 months is now acceptable.

Nothing except breastmilk or formula! Their digestive systems are not mature enough for ANYTHING else. They don't have the necessary enzymes to digest anything but milk. Unfortunately they can feed sometimes 10 times a day. At four weeks my son was feeding every two hours. They grow out of it. I didn't introduce solids till 6 months.
