Hello everyone!!! I am Kelsie and Hayden is my son (5- almost 6). I am new to the group and very excited to have this opportunity to engage with other families with a special baby!! Hayden has CP- A horrible situation took place that cause injuries when he was 10 wks old. God spared him and be has a purpose. It is amazing! I always say "God does not bless just anyone with a special needs child- he only blesses special people with special children" Today, I would not change my son for $1 mil if I could. He is a miracle- a walking angel! I came across this while searching for a network of families with SN children in OKC- and surrounding area. HAyden is formally disabled so we are able to obtain the equipment needed for his daily living, but he stays in 3 different homes through the month (my grandparents- my dads- and with me). There are a few things that we do not transfer when he is somewhere else (i.e. potty chair). Medicaid provided what we have and will not provide additional/duplicate equipment. I am hoping to find a network that we could possibly obtain (donated or even purchased) duplicate equipment. Is this something that is available or possible within this group? If not can you please provide anything that is similar/can help. I am glad to be a part of this and thank you!
