We just got a male chocolate lab puppy and can't think of a name, any suggestions? Please help! It has to be easy enough for a 3 year old to say

Thank You everyone! These are great suggestions....so far the name I found that I like best is Kobe...but everyone I know hates it and I don't know why

I guess I like it because even though he's playful he's a pretty relaxed easy going pup

We got our girls a puppy they named him Oscar (as in the grouch) but they call him Oscy and my husband and I call him Ox he looks like a little ox with his short legs and long body (I think he's part basset hound) we let them pick his name they are two and four. How about a name from one of his favorite movies.

My folks just got a puppie - a Maltese / Shihtzu and he came with the name Charlie. He was 4 months old already but the lady couldn't care for him. My nephews name is Charlie, so we decided to call him Ralphie and it so suits him!! AND its an easy name for kids to say too :)

Watch the puppy for a while and see what you naturally want to call him. We just adopted a dog named Willow and at first I really wanted to change her name. But after a while I realized it really suited her personality so Willow has kept her name. You can also check out http://www.fundognames.com/ for more suggestions. Congrats on your new puppy!

PS: As a professional trainer I HIGHLY recommend you get the puppy into a training class as soon as he's had two rounds of puppy shots including bordetella. :)

We have 3 dogs and took the same thing into consideration about our 2 year old being able to say it. Our tea cup chihuahua's name is Bo. Verry easy. Our pomerianian's name is Kita. Very fun for him to say. And our Great Perinise is named OX. It sounds like our son is sayin ock but its still easy to say. If ur looking for something diff try simple names like JoJo or Choco. We are from alabama and our friend named their dog Daega (talladeaga alabama) (lol taladeaa nights the story of ricky bobby.) They have 4 kids and they all could say it great. Try something crazy and fun.

my husband is a huge believer that if you give it a wild name the dog will be wild. Crazy I know but after the stories i have heard of some dogs and their names.......... i think it might be true.OK SO ITS A MALE, AS YOU CLEARLY STATED: um lets see Vinnie, Chip ( as in chocolate chip ) Sam. Pick the favorite movie characters name. I know someone who has a lab named Mater! My dog is Guido. Our 2 year old call him DOE... Be fun with it.

DeeOgee! It's fun to say and it will make people think your child is spelling DOG.
