Okay I have twins but my daughter is totally different with teething and movement then my son. Here is the problem I am having. My daughter with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 nights while teething has continually slept threw the night. My son on the other hand lets out these screams like someone is truly hurting him threw out the night. I go in the room give him his pacifier. He normally is okay with that but at least once a night he needs to be picked up for he will not stop screaming and shaking he looks terrified. I don't know what this is that is happening or if I am doing something wrong. They are 9 months old as of the 28th of Jan. They sleep in the same room not the same crib haven't slept in the same crib since Aug. Any ideas?

i had a problem with this and my daughter until she was around 10 or 11. Eventually i found out that she had a sugar control problem and it was probably "hunger". I went to giving her old fashioned bed time snack of plainish bread and a glass of milk, terrors and nosebleeds stopped.
We then made sure she ate breakfast and lowered sugars and she was much better. she still has a problem but as she is aware of it she can fix it herself now. good luck at his age maybe you could use disposable nappys it might be he is not likeing being wet? maybe he is still hungry? perhaps teeth are moving up and down?
try the stop cuddling thing by each time you have to go get him cuddle for less time until you can jsut go pat him and then to the final step of not needing reassurance. good luck

I've dealt with night terrors with my oldest...she'd wake up and be completely unconsolable...screaming, and whether i held her or not, it didn't make a difference... until I made sure she was completely awake and aware, nthen holding her comforted her, and she would go back to sleep.

Bad dreams can do that.

By the way they sleep in the same room just not the same crib, and they will be 9 months old on the 28th

My son is 5 months a doing the same thing It's caused from teething I'm not sure if you have tried them but at walgreens in the baby section they have these things called teething tablets they work wonders you take 2 to 3 and stick them under his tongue their just itty bitty and they dissolve almost instantly... I truly love them.. Maybe you could give them a shot .. Good Luck hun!

HI, I am not to sure, never had twins. I do work for a Sleep Medicine MD. You might try checking: a: in with a website for mothers of twins, do they sleep together? he is missing his sister if they are not together? It sounds like you are doing everything right but if you continue to pick him up over and over, he will win in the long run. Remember it takes 3 days to form a habit. Not sure if I helped. good luck, they sure are cute!!
