No, it's not wrong. My daughter who is now 4.5 yrs old, didn't have play friends. Only saw her cousins every now and then, and sometimes saw my friends daughter who is 6 months younger. But no one on a regular basis. She just started preschool this year and is very sociable and is very bright. Your daughter is only 1 year old! She's only been on the planet for 12 months!!!! Don't stress about it :)

It takes time! At 1 playing "together" is really more like playing next to each other :). You might want to check out playgroupsusa.com. It's a free site dedicated to connecting people with kids that are a similar age in a similar location for playgroups. I found them when I was looking for something for my younger girls in my area. There weren't any groups up in my immediate area at the time, so I started one through them--also free and very easy. It took a couple of months to get going (i.e. for people to find it online), but now I have a weekly playdate for my little ones (we rotate where we meet--sometimes at houses, sometimes at parks) and my girls have others to play with their ages and I am getting to know more moms in my community too--which is a huge benefit for me as well. Good luck!

Is it because she's not around other children? Sometimes children won't know how to play with others without some practice.
