Oh, boy...I get migraines, (not often, thank goodness) and they're bad enough! I wouldn't be able to think with a constant one!

More positive thoughts, and sending thoughts to your kids to leave momma alone for a bit...you rest!

Thanks. The headaches are constant (due to a chiari malformation), but the pain level varies. It's not noticeable at the moment as long as my head is resting on something and I'm not moving. ;)

You go, girl!

Sending you positive thoughts to get rid of your headache...I'm so sorry!

Well, I'm totally wiped out from running errands yesterday and have a killer headache, so I'm in the MOOD for aggravation. lol

Dove, we're wasting our time...she's claiming that she't "not going to check further"...which tells me that she's trolling, and wants to incite aggravation.

I do notice that there is a break in your Time magazine link, so there is no link. Funny that I found a Time magazine link in support of spanking too though.... ;)

Ok, Anna, let me explain something. Claiming "FACTS", and then posting multiple links to support your "facts" isn't really presenting facts. You are presenting a series of different studies that claim everything from "Spanking reduces a child's IQ"....Gee, thanks, I was BEAT as a child, and still score well above average on an IQ test... to "spanking induces adult abuse"...Again, I was BEAT as a child, as was my husband, and we know the difference between disciplinary spanking, and BEATING.

Your opinion is your opinion. But quit insulting us. You just effectively told me that I'm a stupid child abuser because your "facts" say that people who have been spanked have lower IQ's and are confirmed abusers as adults.

Sorry, but, I'm an intelligent woman who's raised two very well mannered, well adjusted, well disciplined, respectful young men. And, yes, I spanked them a time or two.

Perhaps pulling your head out of the sand would help. See, I have another wonderful quality, and it's that I have the tools to research and form my OWN opinion, without any of your "help"

You can also find a lot of links in support of spanking. I just looked. I'm not going to bother posting them though because this is a pointless debate (for the most part) and I'm not entirely 'pro-spanking' anyway.

It is a pretty well known fact (at least with everyone 'I' know) that you can find facts and research to back up just about anything.... including completely opposite points of view.... depending on where you look. :)

I don't see this as a "gift of education". I see it as a slap in the face to other parents by the way they raise their own children. This is not a fact. It's your opinion. It doesn't matter how many links you post up here, it's still an opinion. If you didn't want other people to debate this subject with you, then why post it in the first place. This is a very sensitive subject on CoM and of course you are going to get some pretty nasty responses. Good luck with that. Hope you enjoy them.

I will not debate further on theissue, or check up on this thread. It is a gift of education to other parents whom I respect and adore. I just hope you can use the info for your family's benefit.

Much love!!!
