My Little one has been sleeping through the night since 7 weeks, since we put her on solids because she was just so hungry and going through so much formula it was ridiculous. But lately, for about the past week, she has been sleeping for about 5-6 hours then waking for a feed, i only give her 3 meals a day and when she wakes i give her a bottle. Mind you, sometimes she only drinks 50mls and goes back to sleep so I dont think she actually wants it . She was sleeping from 8pm to 7am and now at 12 weeks she's barely sleeping from 11 pm to 5 pm....HELP! My house is a mess and im so tired its not funny. Also, I thought that she was hungry so i've put her on a hungry baby formula but she seems hungrier on it, but shes drinking smaller amounts and more often.....i just dont know anymore!

My daughter started sleeping through the night at 2 1/2 months old....She was sleeping for 12 hrs at a time...however when she hit 4 months old, it all went downhill and she was waking up constantly. She is now 15 months old and has finally started to sleep through the night again

"She will go through many changes in sleep patterns over the next 1+ years. Growth spurts, teething, separation anxiety, dreams, etc. can all affect how well she sleeps."

I definitely agree with this. my son was also sleeping through the night at around 7wks or so. but he's gone through MANY changes in his sleeping patterns since then. he'd wake up in the middle of night and the hours of sleep at night (and hours of sleep during the day too) are still changing.

my son is 15mos now, and has gotten into a good pattern. not to say it still can't change.

at 12wks, baby is still very small. a lot of babies won't sleep through the night until 12+mos. so your baby is doing very well.

cherish this time! they grow up VERY fast!

I went through this with my son and was asleep on my feet. My sister-in-law took himfor a day and gave him a pacifier. I almost had a fit, but he slept through the night so I let him keep it. He only wanted it to sleep with and he threw it away at five months.

At 12 weeks, 6 hours at a stretch is very good. She may be hungry, or she may just need comfort. 12 weeks is still very tiny. She was in a warm, cozy womb for a lot longer than that.

Think how often we,as adults, wake up because we are too hot, too cold, had a bad dream, need the bathroom, heard a noise, or for no reason at all! Don't expect your baby to grow up too fast.

Good luck! :-)
