i wondered if anyone had the experience with their baby of having incredibly loose stools on nutramigen. we just switched my 10 week old to it because of a rash on her body that won't go away, and last night she apparently had a bowel movement while she was sleeping and woke to a red and bloody bottom from the watery stool being on it. is it common to have the loose stool and are they frequent on this formula. i don't know what is worse, the stool causing horrible rash or other formula causing possibly eczema!

Hi Heather. My baby was switched to nutramigen yesterday and he is going through the same thing, Every nurse and doctor I spoke to said it was normal for that formula because it is already broken down the baby's body doesnt have to do muchto break it down so it lessens gas and helps with reflux. I hve been making sure I coat my little man's but with Desitin., butt paste or some kind of diaper rash cream at every change to lessen a rash.
