Does anyone know if it is ok to start oatmeal baby cereal at 8 weeks? I just wanted to give him a tbsp at bedtime.

ya it was about that much, after he got use to it (week, 2 weeks) i increased it a little more till i got to about 3 tbsp in 8 oz of formula, then right at 5 months i started feeding him other foods like applesauce, peaches, plums, only really sweet and ripe though. hes 8 months old now and he eats what i eat. i bought one of those magic bullets and just blend everything up.

did you mix 1 tbsp with 4oz formula or breastmilk?

yep i started mine on rice at about 8 weeks. after that he started sleeping from 9pm right until 7am.

Doc will say to start with RICE...why i don't know but it probably has something to do with digestion and wheat alergies
