i had a c section 3 weeks ago and was wondering how long it takes for the stitches to dissolve i was pulling weeds today and think i did to much now im hurting hoping i didnt do anything to my insides or mess up my stitches

thanks girls hopefully i didnt do anything to hurt myself i havent done it since it doesnt help im ocd so it seems that everything drives me crazy my husband tries to help but i dont like the way he does it so i have to re do it it still hurts down there but only in the middle i go to doc next week for my 6 wk check up so ill ask him then

You shouldn't be doing anything for 6-8wks!! If you don't give your body proper time to heal after a major surgery you could really do significant damage to yourself.
Wow 6wks before you are allowed to drive in the UK after a c-section. Most doctors here in the US allow it anywhere from 1-4wks after. Usually determined on when you stop pain meds.

Weeding is really not that important you can do serious damage by doing too many things when you just had an abdominal operation . Looking after the baby and yourself and doing basics is enough physical activity and hurt me enough let alone weeding by 3 weeks lol.

There is NOTHING that important that cannot wait until you are recovered and cleared by your doctor. The weeds can wait, and do not vaccuum either.

You need to be resting, not pulling weeds. Seriously, you need time to heal, or you are going to cause damage. I could barely step into the shower at 3 weeks post c section. You should be taking it VERY easy for at least 6 weeks. The more you do now, the longer it is gonna take to heal. It is a MAJOR abdominal surgery.

You should not be doing any pulling or pushing exercise for at least 6 weeks. Hence in the uk you are not allowed to drive for 6 weeks because in an accident you could undo all stitches. Just take it ieasy f the pain does not go away then seek medical advice.

It takes about 6 weeks for them to fully heal. I didn't even get my bandages removed until 4 weeks. I pushed myself really hard after my son was born. They had to put my IV in my left hand so I had to use more stomach muscles on that side, so it made that side heal a lot slower. It even leaked a bit.

Most docs will caution against physical activity like this for 6-8 weeks after a c-section. It's major abdominal surgery and you need to allow your body time to heal. You shouldn't be bending over like that or lifting anything heavier than your baby right now. Get some rest and take a painkiller and in the next few weeks, just take it easy.
