My 4 year old is very over active and does not listen to me or his Dad. we are at our wits end and its coming between us and we would prefer not to go out with our son to hotels, wedding etctetc... ne behaves at nursery or but crosses the line when other mums shout at my son which is very upseeting for me as i adore the ground he walks on.

we lost a baby girl 3 yr ago... she wwas stillborn at 35weeks and i am now preganant again , i am a high risk so it's very important stress levels etc are kept to a minumin
really need to chat to someone as am so upset about all of this and feel a failure as a mum

You're not a failure as a Mum at all. All our little darlings can be trying in their own way :-)

I have an almost 11yo and an 8yo that seem to ignore whatever I say. If my hubby (their Step Dad) says the same thing they listen!!! It gets very frustrating. I found that when they were younger I got them to listen more if I lowered my voice and spoke to them quietly. They then had to stop what they were doing to hear me. I also had to get down to their level and have eye contact and explain what I wanted them to do or how to behave.
