i had my son by c-section almost 4 months ago. I have been having killer pain between my belly button and incision. it hurts to just lightly touch it. im wondering if anyone else has had the same issues and if so does it go away? also my incision hurts too in some areas but i think that is normal am i right? i would love to hear from others that have had a c-section.

I had a c-section over 2 years ago. I didn't have much pain until the 2-3 month mark, my husband looked at it, and there was nothing wrong on the outside, he then "gently" pushed in where I said it hurt, and he said it felt like scar tissue. It went away around 6 months, and when I went to the dr for a checkup he said that my husband was right. I haven't had any pain after that 6 month mark. But I also didn't have a lot to begin with. My incision gets sore sometimes, but it's bc I am bigger than average, and my belly slightly hangs over and a rash forms-but that doesn't happen often.
Like previously posted-if you have any doubts go to your dr, or call the answering service...that is what they are there for!

Hi, my first c section went perfectly and I was in no pain at all after about 6 weeks. With my second c section I was in huge amounts of pain so much that I couldn't even walk towards the end. I was back and forth to the doc trying to find out why as I knew it was not normal because I had a c section previously. Finally 2 months after my c section I was given an ultrasound after going through the emergency department late at night because of the pain, they finally found that I had a massive blood clot. If you think there may be a problem go to see your doctor and if they don't listen go see another one. Good luck =)

I had a c-section and I had absolutely no pain at all after a few weeks. If I were you I would see your OB to check it out.

i had a c-section about 3mos ago and in the beggining i had lots of pain for like 2weeks to where i was walking like an old lady. after that it still hurt when i walked but not as bad. now i dont have any pain but i also dont have that much feeling around the incision area. if i were you i would just get it checked out so you can feel better and not worry about it so much.

i still have pain and it's been 7 months since i had mine to get my second twin out. (i had the first one naturally). my dr keeps telling me that it's normal to but after reading this i will probably go get a second opinion. you all are very helpful to me and i didn't even ask the question. thanks!!!

Yes. My c-section scar is still hurting after 6 months. According to my doctor it is normal. It never hurts to get it checked out though. Better safe then sorry.

I would see a doctor. I know I had pain for a bit after, but it was never enough to use my pain pills after leaving the hospital (5 days w/ my girls and 3 days w/ my son). I would be concerned, but everyone's healing and pain tolerance are also different....

I had some pain around the incision for a long time. Not constant I'd just feel sharp pain, here and there, itchiness. I did not feel anything like you are explaining. I would go to the doctor. No point in worrying "what could it be" with a simple visit, you'll know and then you can take it from there.

I would go to the Doc. I had a Csec and was in pain but I want to say it stopped 2 to 3 months after. Its been 9 months and It still will sometimes hurt but not a constant hurting. You can never be too safe. Even if the doc says its normal ... just to put your mind at ease I would say go to the doc.

I've had 4 csections all about 16 months apart and I've never had pain like that. I wouldn't put off getting it checked out. If you don't feel your dr is taking you seriously get another opinion. You need to get better to take care of your child and no one should have to be in constant pain. I hope you feel better soon

just give your doc or a nurse a call.. it may be scar tissue.. im assumming ur incision isnt seeping at all?? just try to keep it clean. i had two c's with in a year of each other! i remember being sore for a while few weeks or something.. but i would still talk to ur dr just in case he may want to take a look.. good luck! hope ur pain goes away quickly

I had mine almost 8 months ago. I did not have that kind of pain. Some places are numb to the touch, it will itch but scratching it does nothing because it is numb and I hate the feeling of it being touched, even by my husband. But having pain after four months is something I would get checked out. After this long though, it may not have anything to do with the c-section, it could be something else.

I would have that checked out. I have had 2 c-sections now and didn't have any pain after 3 months. I know everyone heals differently but something doesn't sound right!

I have had 2 C-sections. Sometimes I will get a sharp pain where I had my incision, I had had bad pain for a few months after I had my son. I think they hit a nerve or something, it got better, I mean, it don't hurt anymore, but it is still numb. My kids are 3 and 7 by the way.
