I started a new community for anyone who has lost a parent. There are many emotional obsticles to deal with when you are parenting without parents. I hope this community will provide support to those coping with loss and greiving. This is also a forum to share memories or stories of our parents to help keep their spirit alive. To access the community click on the communities tab, in the search bar type in Parenting without parents.

I have started a new group called Unparented Parenting. This community is geared tward those who are raising children without the guidance / relationship with their own parent(s) due to life factors such as strained relationships. Though there is no way to replace a missing parent (grandparent), I hope that this group will help fill in some of the gaps and be a place to discuss everything associated with the issues surrounding the displaced family member(s). Those who are not suited for Parenting Without Parents (dealing with loss) may fit in this other new group.
Side note to Rachael Brown; I hope it's okay, I named Parenting Without Parents with a brief discription in my discription of this group in hopes that everyone would find the group that they feel they belong and find most helpfull. If you would like me to remove the reference please let me know.

Sounds good, girls! I cirtainly need to share more with Nicole, who makes me laugh! I will look at starting a group, if there isn't one (don't think so). Hope to see Bianca, Nicole and anyone else there soon! If I figure it out I will leave another comment here, we were courious enough to check here - so may be others.

This communtiy is geared towards dealing with the death of a parent. You should definately start a community for people who don't have parents in their lives...unfortunatly, I think there would be a lot of people who would benefit from it.

Hey, Nicole. My mom died when I was little, and I'm long over it. My dad needs to find AA or something...
Maybe, if this group is not for us, we should start another group? There's always room for one more group!

Is this also for those who do not know or speak to their parent(s)? Or is the community geared twards those who are dealing with loss?
