Persistant coughing

My 1 yr. old started having a cough when he was 3 months old. The doctor said it was normal for that age. The cough never went away and seemed deeper and was getting worse. They said it was croup and put him on medicine. It still never went away. Now being 14 months, we have gone to 4 different doctors and it seems now they don't have an answer for it at all. It seems like its been getting worse but the doctors say his lungs sound fine, he has no consistant fevers or flu like symptoms. The only thing that stays is his cough. I want to know what kind of doctor i should see and what kind of tests i could do for him for his age.

Boys, from what I've heard, tend to verbalize later than girls. If your doctor is okay with him developmentally then I wouldn't stress about it. :)

Not all babies talk at the same time. my next door neighbour's girl is 2 years old and she says maybe 4 words and that is it

Since you live in Geneva NY try your closest major cities which would be Syracuse, Rochester, or absolute last case Buffalo. I don't have any specific doctors to recommend though.

Sorry, I can't help you with that since I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A little far away from USA right now.
