Poop-y training

My daughter just turned 3 and has been doing pretty well with the potty training. The problem we're still having is that she keeps pooping in her panties. She does fine with the peeing, but just won't do it with the pooping. I know she knows when she has to go too.

We started the training with the reward system, giving her stickers, because she was at first extremely stubborn about potty training. Nothing that we tried with her four big brothers seems to work with her.

I'm a writer and a pretty creative person, but I've run out of ideas. Anyone out there in cyber-world have any to contribute??

She has gone in the toilet a couple of times and she's always thrilled to get a sticker for it (at first she got a sticker anytime she did something in the toilet, now she only gets a sticker if she bm's, but it doesn't seem to be an incentive). I haven't gone back to diapers, but it's sure gross doing the laundry. I've tried everything else you said except the ignoring it bit. I'll try that.

Thanks for answering, since I guess it's a topic no one else wanted to talk about. ;)

Has she done a BM in the toilet at all?

Here are some ideas:

Completely ignore it. change her clothes/clean her up with no response about the mess.

READ READ and READ about pooping in the toilet.

Don't go back to diapers- gives mixed messages.

Make sure the toilet is comfortable for her- smaller seat insert, step stool for her to get up and down.

Have her sit for a certain amount of time before she can get down.

20 minutes after every meal, she should be ready for a BM. If she doesn't go at that point, have her go in there every 10 minutes until she does go.
