My son is almost 3 years old and does not want to go on the potty no matter what I try. Does anyone have suggestions to make this easier on him and me. I have tried elmo potty, potty time with bear. Rewards, taking things away. I tried making potty time fun. He still doesn't want to. It seems to be something that he has control of and doesn't want to give it up.

Make it part of his daily routine. Morning & Night. Lots of praise and encouragement. Books, Sing Songs, Leapster, Cheerios in Toilet, Favourite Toy, Colouring or Elmo Potty Book. We are timing right now we know what time he goes everyday. My 3 yr old just had his Birthday he is still in Pull ups Not interested in sitting on the Potty at Daycare, will sit for 5 min's before Bed. It is not easy, and it is a long process. My girlfriend who is a ECE Teacher has a Boy who is 3 weeks younger than my son. I don't like her ways of doing things. She insists he goes on the Toilet every 10 min's. I think you can be too Pushy. But no worries it will come.
