I have a barely three year old who I started potty training a couple of months ago. He was doing really good, hard any accidents and all of a sudden he is having accidents like crazy! How can I help him better understand where he needs to go? Thanks!

My 3 boys all had their share of accidents! They would get so wrapped up it playing they would forget. So being creative I made it a game. I put a few goldfish crackers in the bowl and they would see how many they could "shoot". It got to where they would try real hard not to have accidents. If they did have an accident it was ok but they tried harder the next time. Sounds funny but worked for me.

I would have to agree with Alicia, I would guess that it might be a stress trigger... something maybe that isnt stressful to you, but definitely for him! My little guy, he had several accidents after getting new eyeglasses! Of all things! :o) I didnt think it would be a big deal, apparently to him it was! Best of luck! For my other son, it was moving to a new house!

has he had any stress triggers that may have caused the recent accidents? we use rub-on tattoos for our 18 month girl and she LOVES them. I watch 2 other kids during the week and they love them too! You can get a pack of 50+ at wal-mart for about $3.

Accidents happen though right! They are still learning at that age and go through heaps of phases. I would give him time and lots of praise when he does do it where you want him too.
