My daughter will be three in Aug and so far no luck with the potty training. I'm also due in Sep I would like only one kid in diapers by then or at lest the older one only in a diaper at night.

I found it easier not to use pull-ups during the day just training underwear. They feel the wetness more and start to not like it, my daughter would not poop her pants once she wasn't wearing a diaper anymore. After she mastered the day we started with night. For night time we wore pull-ups and started waking her up to go pee before we went to bed. This helped my daughter because she couldn't make it through the whole night. After one week we took the pull-ups off and used underwear but still woke her up before we went to bed. The following week we stopped waking her up at all and she began waking herself if she had to pee and she only had very few mistakes. My daughter was potty trained for daytime by just over 2 and for night by 3.

Hi, my little boy is nearly four and has only just cracked the potty training in the last few weeks!! We have been on and off with it for over a year! He is my third baby and has been the hardest to train of all of them. I believe a lot of it is up to them and when they are ready as the tried and tested ways I used on my two girls have not worked with him at all. I had my fourth baby last year and I think this also made him not want to be grown up and in big boy pants - he still wanted to be the baby! Then all of a sudden he has decided to do it himself. He has been well aware of needing to go to toilet for a long time but has clearly not wanted to do it. Don't feel pressured to have her trained before your new baby is born she will do it when she is good and ready!

My son will be 3 in July and has just in the last two weeks started using the potty. We bought him underwear and pullups. When we are home I used a time set ever 15 minutes and put him in underwear. We went to the potty everytime it went off. When we go out he goes in pullup and pullups at night. He is the baby and we told him that he was to big for diapers and they were for little babies. He is now going to the bathroom when he needs to go on his own. We still have some accidents but that is to be expected. Don't push it will happen. Good luck with the new baby. I had 4 at one time in diapers. The baby is the last and the hardest to train.
