Im 26 weeks pregnant,and im suffering from major depression.Has anyone ever taken depression meds while pregnant,and if so what was your outcome?

I was put on Zoloft, and it did help a lot. Use care with any medication, as I'm sure you know, but treating something as potentially serious as depression is much more important than not. Also, try to avoid SSRI's as they have been linked to newborns requiring a feeding tube for life as a result - the cause in the child is not yet known, but the link is SSRI. http://www.cwhn.ca/en/node/42353
