ok so its been a about 3weeks since i miscarried...i have been bleeding off and on since then a little here and little there...we have had unprotected sex the past 2 weeks..now the bleeding has stopped(only old blood every now and then) and i have been cramping and tender breast..im also starting to feel sick all the time....i was just wondering how would you be able to tell if your pregnant if you havent had a normal period since the miscarraige?

PLEASE! dont judge on doing this soo soon after...EVERYONE said everything happens for a reason... i lost the baby for a reason and i will get pregnant again when god thinks its right...so why should we prevent it. if its gonna happen when he thinks its time, right? ( the thing helping me deal with the loss "everything happens for a reason")

I lost my son July 88 I went into labor at 7 months with him, and August I was pregnant again with my duaghter she was born 6-89. I wanted a baby agin. Boy it was a little too soon. I went into early labor with her at 3 months. I was placed on bedrest until she was born. I went to the doctors every week.

Kate, my doctor told me I just had to wait one cycle after my miscarriage, according to that advice, she should be fine.
I think you're just going to have to take a pregnancy test or make an appointment with a doctor this week.

I would go at once to get this checked out. It could be something else.
Mine was something like this on the bleeding off and one, come to find out I had a tumor that killed the baby. I"M NOT SAYING THIS IS THE SAME THING YOU HAVE, but get it check out. I also miscarried a few times.
But go at once to get it checked out. They had to do several X-rays to find out it was a tumor or some call it a molar pregnancy. My bleeding went on for weeks, stop then bleed lightly, the heavy. After losing a few I knew something was seriously wrong.
PLEASE go to the doctor, you want to make sure that baby is OK , and not lose another one. It is painful each time you lose them. I know it is after losing 4.

Best wishes.

I miscarried in June 1997 and got pregnant in July 1998. I don't remembe how I knew I was pregnant because my husband figured it out first! My Marcie is 12 and is an amazing, wonder child (and a great baker)! Good luck, God will bring that child to you in His time!

Yeah I think you'll have to go to a dr in maybe a week or 2 for a blood test as your hormones may still be out of whack.
I had a miscarriage, and had bleeding all over the place in the weeks following it. We didn't wait to try again, we thought the same as you, if it's meant to happen quickly it will. We fell again after I had one period, but it was an all over the place type of period, I still don't know if it really was one or my body still 'cleansing' itself. Good Luck :-)

Your hormones may still be adjusting and out of whack. BUT.....with that being said, this happened to me after my 3rd miscarriage. My 3rd pregnancy loss was in May 2004 and it was through an IUI. So, I was under the care of a fertility doctor. After the confirmed loss, we were just going to give it a break for a month or 2. So we took a vacation to get our mind off of the loss. But then after our June 2004 vacation, I was at 32 days of my cycle. I just had this bizarre feeling that I got pregnant again, without having that cycle break in between the miscarriage. I was fortunate to be under the care of the specialist who saved the pregnancy. What's really important is knowing your body and tracking your cycles. Know when you ovulate and chart it. You really won't know if you're pregnant just yet. Also know that 25% of early pregnancies end in miscarriage and it's more common than people think. Good luck to you.

see i wasnt sure if a pregnancy test would be effected by the miscarriage since it is so close or not...

I'm not judging, but trying to help you understand why you should wait at least two normal menstrual cycles before trying to conceive again. The chances of conceiving shortly after a miscarriage may not be too good because your body is still trying to recover from the loss. Also, if you DO conceive shortly after losing a pregnancy the chances of suffering another miscarriage are higher. Please consider waiting until you have physically healed enough to carry a baby to term before you get pregnant again.
