I miscarried at 7 weeks on November 25th after the doctor put me on progesterone the week before. On December 26th I had a positive pregnancy test and decided to start up the progesterone again....but I am waiting to see the doctor till my appt on Jan 14th...I just can't handle all the tests again like last time. They scared me! i was worried the entire time. That can't be good for me or the baby. Any words of wisdom? BTW..I'm 33 years old.

Just because the progesterone "worked" for 1 person doesn't mean it's right for you.

I miscarried my first and fell pregnant 3 months later. I now have 3 children, sometimes miscarriages just happen.

I have no children yet. About three years ago I miscarried... They were never sure if it was ectopic or not... But thought it might be. My numbers went up and down and then finally down and I miscarried. So, when I got pregnant this last time they wanted to check my numbers regularly. All was going well, they did a sonogram at 6 1/2 weeks to make sure the gestational sac was in the uterus and it was. Less than a week later on the first day of our first cruise I suddenly miscarried. I knew without a doubt that it was gone. When we returned from the cruise we immediately went to the doctor had another sonogram and my uterus was empty. They check my numbers 2 more times and they were obviously falling fast. Fast forward 1 month and I didn't have a period when it would normally be due, so I decided to take a pregnancy test and it was positive. That's the back story. I would love to get excited about this pregnancy but its scary to let myself go there. It's just been a really rough couple of months. My sister thinks I need to take this progesterone because she had a friend who miscarried 3 times and finally the doctors put on progesterone on the 4th time and she carried the baby to term and he's a healthy little boy now.

Why did the doctor put you on progesterone with your previous pregnancy, and what sort of tests are you talking about? Do you know what caused your previous miscarriage?
