I have a 4 and half year old and she is completely potty trained except at night. She wears pull-ups at night. She use to be fine and never peed in a bed. Then she started about a year ago and hasn't stopped. I don't know what to do. She is not allowed to have anything to drink or eat after 6 and goes to bed at 9. I make her go potty like 5 times before bed until she can't go potty anymore. I have put her in time out, scolded her, taken toys away, friends, movie at night. I have tried all methods and nothing seems to work. I'm so lost on what else to do. Please help me!!

For some kids it just takes longer for them to go overnight without wetting and you just have to wait it out. There's a hormone that affects the brain and it "kicks in" or is activated at different times in children. It affects their ability to rouse themselves from sleep and go to the bathroom or, alternatively, hold their urine in their sleep (especially if your child is a deep sleeper). You might want to try waking her before you go to bed to have her do a "twilight" potty check as some finds that helps. I know people have tried bed alarms that go off when the bed is wet and other behavioral approaches, but it does stop on its own if you choose to wait it out.
