I was just reading comments about breach babies and I am just wondering, for those of you who have had twins or more and delivered vaginally...
After having the first baby, is it just as painful to push out the second? Do you have to push as long as you did with the first? After having one baby vaginally, I couldn't imagine having a second baby be pushed out. I freaked after having my daughter because they told me I had to push the placenta out.... just curious.... whats it like?

One of my twins turned breech during labor, and where the birth was already a vbac within a year of a c/s, I chose not to add another risk factor and had a c/s. But my close friend just delivered her twins this morning! She delivered vaginally, babies born 40 min apart (3rd pregnancy). After the first, you are still in transition, and the delivery is the same. It will hurt to push in most cases, but usually twins are delivered in a shorter amount of time. My husband is a twin, and he and his brother were were delivered just 6 min apart, so the pushing phase felt like it just continued a little longer, and that was her first birth where pushing is usually the longest. How close they come after one another depends on positioning. Hope that helps.
