Just a couple of alternatives (if you are interested)...
I'm not sure how old your baby is but with both of my boys I would freeze mini bagels to gnaw on. (tip: I'd break the two halves apart before I put them in the freezer). You will just want wait until the baby is on solids as the begal does start to break up (small peices) as they chew/it thaws.
Also, I would freeze the little rings/loops that are used to hang toys from baby floor "gyms". They seemed to really like that over any of the standard chew toys.
Good luck.

lol... Exactly same with my daughter... I think the recall is a bit silly if you ask me... I've seen the toy being sold in Chapters/Indigo still

I didn't hear about that, but my daughter LOVES hers. She gags on her own fingers, you can't recall those! LOL

I read that they were recalled because someone complained that their child was left alone with the toy and gagged on one of the legs.
My daughter has Sophie and absolutely loves the toy. Its the first thing she grabs to chew on.
