I am so annoyed at the fact that today me and my 6 month old girl Audrina who is always happy and always smiling she miles so big that her eyes squint not even kidding she rarely crys was hit by a little boy at the shops today I was holding her in the baby section when all of a sudden a little boy that was about 3 years old I assume came along and hit her.I was bending down to pick up some organic baby food on the lower shelf whist holding her and she was happy and fine then all of a sudden this kid swooped by (he was running his mother clearly had no control of him chatting away on her phone and not even looking at her son he hit Audrina smack in the back of the head (not very hard but hard enough to upset her.so I told him off I said "no no no,please don't hit her" then this mother went off at me I was so nice to him I didn't yell I said monotone no hitting she said that my screaming little brat obviously did something to make her son hit her if he even did.I was in shock I cannot believe this mother said that was I the one in the wrong should I have not said anything and up just let him hit my child? Did this mother have a right to call my child a screaming brat? I was so angry I cannot believe this happened!! Audrina is ok now tho,I know that I don't like people telling my kids off but I wasn't mean it was just a auto matic reflex I didn't yell I was completely nice and he just looked at me in shock as if he had never been told no and stuck his tongue out at me.

Well if shes not paying enough attention to her child and lets him hit another why shouldnt you tell him to stop. Your being a good mummy to your Baby. Nevermind her. Get off the phone and watch your brat lady!

Hard out. I work at a day care centre and yea Kids hit for no reason at all but if you don't dicipline them and make sure they know that its not ok there gunna keep doing it. This Mother Needs to WAKE UP and do her job. I would never let my baby do that to another child

Yes I sorta wish I did say something but oh well it's her child that's unforntunitly going to probably grow up with no respect and have a bad child hood if that mother doesn't step up not my Audrina!

Thank you all your making me feel less mean about telling that boy off! And I know right she's a little baby that is defenseless she was so happy giggling and smiling looking and all the organic baby food squeeze tubes ,I heard that boy behind us but just thought he was another kid running up and down I didn't think to quickly get up before I picked the food I wanted so he wouldn't hit my baby I was so shocked when he did.i can't say I blame him all that much with a mother like that paying no attention how could he learn right from wrong and respect? I'm still so mad about that and Audrina has probably forgotten all about it as happy as Larry falling asleep in her rocking swing right now lol.

I would of done the same thing. It's a natural reflex to defend your child. It's not good to hit period but an older kid hitting a baby is uncalled for. But really how could a 6 month old do something to piss off a 3 year old to the point he needed to hit her? If I were the mom of that 3 year old he would of been hating life.

Thanks Stacey I did feel a bit bad like it wasn't my place to step in and in all honesty I don't do that because I know that sometimes kids act up but if Audrina hit another baby if she was older I'd tell her off and say sorry to the other mother and baby not just keep shopping! Nice to know that I'm not the only person who would have reacted the way I did :)

In all honesty if some randomer told my child off I'd be a bit pissed off but in all honesty they wouldn't have a chance cos I'd have already done it! That woman should watch her 3 year old isn't going around hitting anyone let alone babies. I'd of acted just like you.

Thats what I felt like saying I was so mad at her my daughter is far from an "perfect" but atleast I'm paying attention to her and shes always happy! I was appalled I just had to get up and walk away otherwise I old have stuck right into her! Lol thank god I'm not the only mommy that thinks that's wrong.
