Refusing Bedtime Bottle

My son recently has decided he doesn't want to take his bottle before bed. We are lucky if we get him to take 2-3 oz when he used to take 6-7 before bed. We haven't changed his bedtime rituals or anything and it has just recently happened. He hasn't been eating more solid foods either that would make him really full at bedtime. I just don't know what might be going on and how to move forward and try to get past this hurdle. He only has been eating 20 oz of formula a day now. He doesn't gain much weight as it is and I don't want this to effect his weight gain. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Relax a bit--it is not unusual for kids to have their hunger fluxuate. Kids are much, much better then adults at not eating more than their bodies need. As long as you offer him food and his bottles, let him him eat and drink what he wants, even if it's less. he most likely will start consuming more when he hits a growth "spurt". As always, if you still have concerns about his diet then consult your doctor/pediatrician. Hope this helps and good luck!

My doctor repeated over and over to me that my son would eat wht he needed and not to push more on him or worry when he ate a lot. Maybe he is in a growth spurt, my son would always eat a lot before and then during he would hardly eat at all.
