If it feels good, carry on! Relaxing means different things to different people, so if a good, long walk makes you feel relaxed there is no reason to stop until you feel you need to. Plus the fitter and more active you are, the more straight forward (and quick) your labour is likely to be.

Thanks ladies!!

im just going to use the natural "feel good" response activity, and keep doing what im doing. its funny, ill hear people like when im out to lunch or talking with members and they always insist on getting plenty of rest, thanks for some clarity :)

if they are activities you enjoyed prior to becoming pregnant and as long as your dr. is aware of any and all exercise that you do participate in, it's fine. It will also probably make your labor way easier than those of us *me included* who did a lot of "relaxing" in my off time. My first baby took 26 hrs. to be born (lucky me) lol. I might lay off some of the hiking *if you are like in the mts. with a backpack (i;m not quite sure what you mean by "hiking" that might be a bit excessive lol. But like I said just be sure that your dr. is informed. Congrats and good luck.

I hiked canyons and ravines until I just wasn't able any more. My doctor said it was fine until it became uncomfortable. He was right - its unmistakable when you hit that uncomfortable level!

Walking is good for you when you're pregnant. My doctor told me to walk a lot, it will help strengthen muscles you use during labor.

I would be careful i did the same thing just for two weeks, my son ended up being born premature lol. he was fine but he could have been bigger and had a lot less problems in the hospital.exercise is always good but try and slow it down.

no.... ! keep doing what comes naturally, and if anything hurts, stop. drink lots etc... just as you normally would! you sound really fit.... people think you can save your energy for after with baby, that's rubbish... like you can sleep a week to be able to stay up for three days??... doesn't make you tired after the three days! the other reason is people think you wont get rest later, so enjoy it while u can... you sound like you are enjoying yourself fine!!! it may get harder when the babies head drops deeper int he pelvis to keep up those hills though! you are probably getting your baby in a good position for a lovely easy birth! and baby will enjoy all that pram walking after if you keep it up! ENJOY!

as long as you are of good health it is just good for you and your baby that you are aktiv. they say the more you move around and train your muscles, the easier the birth will be. :) if your feet are swollen, you should put them up.

No I was the exact same way! I was ready to deliver and walking around the swap meet in Hawaii! I talked to my doc about it and he said it was fine. I think it is ok as long as both of you are healthy! I hope this helps..

I would say as long as its no more exercise than your used to it is fine just don't over do it.
