I think what you are talking about is normal for babies. They always look like they are running in place. RLS Is very unlikely!!! If she won't go to sleep because she is too much on the go, I'd swaddle her tightly ( babies sleep when they feel safe, they feel safe when they are swaddled) My son always moved his arms and legs and infact he still does that alot. They are learning to use those muscles and working them so that later they have strength to crawl and stand & walk!

Restless leg usually happens while you are sleeping. I did a sleep study about 8 yrs ago and I had it, I now suffer from insomnia. My leg jerked 150 times during the night and my body, not my mind woke up 97 times. You just never seem to sleep deep enough. As far as I remember I didn't recall any problems whilst I was awake. Talk to your doctor to be sure.

I would talk to her doctor cause I don't know if it's possible but I know my Mom has it and I've always had that feeling of not being able to keep my legs still. Check with the pediatrician and see it could very well be but i don't know if they can do much for it I know my Mom takes medication for it. They say it's genetic is it something you have or someone close to her? If so they definately could be. Good luck.

I guess I should explain. Do you think it is possible for my 5 month old to have restless leg syndrome? She squirms and kicks all day and can't seem to fall asleep which makes her a very cranky baby. Any suggestions?
