my daughter was completely potty trained over the summer and all was going well. About 2 months ago she started wetting her pants , so I got her pull ups for when we went out. If I kept her in panties it was the same response. accident after accident... Then she turned it into a joke "mommy I pee in my pants *giggle". After spending 15 a week in pull ups, we got her diapers for at night to hold the accident, now she wants to wear them all the time....I feel like my hard wark over the summer was wasted. What can I do (other than reinforcements in the potty) to re spark her interest in being a big girl?

Try spending more one on one time with her. She may be peeing in her pants b/c she knows she gets that little bit of extra attention from you.

When I was potty training my son, it was all about making goals and giving positive reinforcement. For example, for every time he went in the potty he got a nickel to put into his train bank; conversely, when he had an accident, he had to give one back. When he collected 10 nickels, he got a reward. (It sounds like a lot, but it only took a couple of days) The reward was usually something like new crayons, extra time at the park, a movie (think $5 bin at Wal-Mart!). Everyone got in on it so when he was at any of our family's houses he could keep getting rewarded. It only took about a month and it was easy to wean him from getting paid to potty. It also helped him to understand the concept of working towards, and saving for, something he wanted.
