I use an Ergo, which is a front/back sling and is very conformable and can be use well into toddler-hood (my 3yo loves it!). Also I have a Baba-Sling which is a one shoulder sling, I found it good for newborns and a bit hard on the shoulder for bigger babies. The ring sling was better for older babies cos you can spread the weight over the shoulder and down your arm. Try before you buy, see if a friend could lend you one and check E-bay cos they can be a lot cheaper. You have a really cute daughter and I think my daughter had a very similar dress in your photo, she can still fit into it!
