I have a runny nose and was wondering if I should go see my doctor. I read in my baby books that its a common symptom for pregnant women but my throat is also really dry, I wake up in the night with a stuffed nose all the time, should I just check with the doctor? or stop worrying so much?

My sinus and allergy problems also got worse with pregnancy. I think I had 3 or 4 sinus infections with both my pregnancies, and normally have at least 2 per year when I'm not pregnant. This is medical advice, so please ask your doctor first, but my doctor gave me a list of approved medications that I could take during pregnancy. It included all the Tylenol products (Cough and Cold, Allergy, Sinus, etc...) EXCEPT for Tylenol Multi-Symptom. I took those as needed, because I still don't want to be overmedicated, but when nothing else would work, I would go ahead and take those. Humidifier, hot tea, steam showers, and a heating pad on my face (seriously, helps swelling in sinus cavities go down!) all helped me as well. Good luck!

I had sinus problems my entire pregnancy and the farther along I got the worse I got. i had to lie with my head elevated because I was sooo stuffy. It is extremely common during pregnancy, well with everyone I know. There isnt much you can really do about it unfortunately...

Also stop stressing yourself out, I worried so much in the beginning , until my doc told me to relax bc stress causes more damage. Your body is going through alot of changes right now and alot of crazy things are going to happen, but in the end every ounce of it is worth it!!!!!!

CONGRATS on your upcoming arrival!!!!!

stop worrying so much, when your prego your immune goes way down so your more prone to getting sick and you develope allergies you never had before.

most likely it's due to the change in weather. i have sinus problems & they usually become irritated when the seasons change. if the fluid is clear it's just allergies.
