Call your Drs. office right away. Even if it's off hours, they will have someone covering. The info should never have been left on your answering machine, that's really unprofessional. Good luck to you.

Samantha, your hormone level may not quite have been enough to show up in the tests. It could go either way. Follow up and see where the egg has implanted.

i was supposed to have my period anywhere between the 15th and the 18th but it never came and my surgery had taken place on the 22nd they had done both blood and urine tests on friday the 19th which was negative and then just a urine on tuesday morning the day of the surgery which had also came back negative i had also made him aware that i missed my period before he had started the surgery

@Samantha, I can understand your concerns, because 12% of all pregnancies following a tubal ligation end in ectopic pregnancy. However, I do have to say that if the test is showing positive now, there is the possibility that it implanted BEFORE your tubes were ties, in which case, it will probably have implanted in your womb. Having said this, you still need to go and get it checked out, the earlier the better because if it IS ectopic, it needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

yes i had argued with the doctor yesterday asking y he wanted me to do a pregnancy test when i had just gotten my tubes tied he said he just wanted to rule it out and order one anyway he called left the results on my machine and when i called back he was in the middle of delivering a baby so they werent sure if he would be able to get back to me i have an appt on monday for my tube clamping follow up im just worried bc if its in my tube then it could be life threatening

well my friend thought she was pregnant with tubal pregnacy.. but wassn't.. Let me ask you a question.. when you had your tubes tied.. did you by any chance ovulate? cause if you did.. well your tubes wasn't clamped right.. cause you wouldnt have been ovulating and wouldn;t be pregnant. If you are pregnant.. you can go have an ultrasound done to make sure the baby is in the womb.. It will make you feel alot better.
