Hi I have 4 little one's now and I always thought that it gets easier with each one...but Labour only gets quicker I feel..each pregnancy is different and so goes with the baby too, it really depends on the little one inside if he/she is a determined one or a lazy one? :-) But no worries babe as long as the babs is well and healthy each labour still is a wonderful experiance which I feel should be invented on men..They will have a total shock! Good luck and hope u both be well Kelz :-)

My first was a piece of cake really but the second was even easier! I went in at 5cm and stalled until they broke my water then was ready to push in about an hour. Only pushed 2.5 times! He weighed 8lb 10oz 4 weeks early!

my Second was worse than the first. He was over 3 lbs bigger and 2 inches longer. Had to have pit. and also was in labor for 11 hours longer than first.

my second was worse bc it was much faster so no time for an epidural. But the fact that it was faster made it better and I would recommend going natural bc you can get right up and take a shower and do whatever.

My Second labor and delivery was much easier than the first. My labor didn't last as long. I didn't do as much pushing with the second one and I knew more about the procedure and what to expect. But everyone is different and complications can come up that wasn't there with the first.

I have 4 kids, and my 2nd baby took 4 mins of pushing to get her on the table...so it depends on the baby really, but in my experiance, yes the 2nd is so much easier then the 1st!

i had to be induced with both of mine. my first lobour was 7 hours the second just 3 and only 1 big push! i don't remember having after pains with either of them. i found i was a lot calmer and more relaxed second time round and just entenox but first time i had every drug i was allowed. just bear in mind that you know what's coming so you're not taking a step into the dark. good luck xx

My second was much faster than my first. With my first, my daughter, I was in labor for 29 hours. With my second, my son, I was only in labor for 8 hours, But the labor was worse with him. He was a big baby (9lbs 5oz) and got stuck, and to top it off my epidural stopped working.Whereas with my daughter I had no problems and my epidural held up just fine. So for me the second was worse. I'm now pregnant with my 3rd, so we will see if it gets better, with this one.

I found my second birthing experience alot calmer as I knew what was going to happen. It was slighly quicker & as my body remembered what to do easier to deliver. Hope this helps Good luck x

Thats what i usualy hear, that the second one was easier. My first baby is now 2yrs old, the labor was 7hrs and 10min of pushing.I thought that everyone was making a big deal over something that wasnt too bad, i could have another one any day! Then my second baby came, He is now 6mon, the labor went for 2 days, stopping over night, which was heaven sent! he was born the second nite at 2am.It was horrible! pushing pains for 2hrs,i told myself that i would never have another baby ever! {which mom hasnt thought that right after a really hard birth?} for weeks i shuddered thinking back to that experience. Im over it now and i do want more babies, im just wondering if others have experienced this.

mine was more difficult...it wasn't that much longer than the first, but he was bigger...my recovery was faster the second time because I didn't have to have stitches!

I thought mine was easier, just cause I knew what to except. It was also not quite as long as the first.
